Toad grass is a plant native to Mexico that belongs to the Apiaceae family (the family from which carrots, celery and fennel come, just to mention a few). Some clinical studies have shown that this plant is hypocholesterolemic (it has the ability to reduce blood cholesterol). This wild plant grows in almost all states of Mexico.
